Salesforce in Kansas City at a glance
We build Salesforce for Kansas City investment managers, wealth firms, banks and payments companies on both sides of the state line. The work centers on Financial Services Cloud, custodial and core integrations, and service, delivered by senior consultants from Dallas.
How Kansas City firms use Salesforce
Kansas City's financial sector is unusually varied for a metro its size. Fund companies, trust and custody operations, banks, independent RIAs, insurance brokers and payments firms all operate here. UMB alone runs commercial, personal and institutional banking, including asset servicing and corporate trust. That variety shapes Salesforce design. An asset manager needs intermediary and institutional distribution: platforms, home offices, consultants and the advisers who use the funds. An RIA needs households and custodial feeds. A bank needs relationship managers, treasury services and a referral path from the branch.
Financial Services Cloud covers all three patterns, but the data model has to be chosen deliberately at the start. For RIAs we connect Orion, Black Diamond, Addepar, Tamarac or Fidelity Wealthscape data so advisers see balances and activity on the household. For fund distribution teams, Dakota Marketplace or FINTRX data can enrich the institutional pipeline. Payments and B2B finance firms, a group that includes local companies such as C2FO and TreviPay and now Fiserv's Overland Park hub, tend to need Service Cloud for client support with case routing and service-level tracking.

Salesforce in Kansas City: questions, answered
We distribute mutual funds through intermediaries. Can Salesforce show which advisers actually use our products?
Yes, if you bring the sales data in. Most fund companies receive intermediary sales and position data from a data provider or the platforms themselves. We load that into Salesforce, or into Snowflake and then Salesforce, and match it to firms, offices and advisers. Wholesalers then see who's buying, who has stopped and who they met last quarter. The matching is the hard part, because adviser identifiers vary by source, so we budget real time for it in the 10-16 week plan.
We have offices in Missouri and Kansas with different processes. Can one org handle both?
Yes. One org is usually better, with record types, teams or business units reflecting how each office works and shared definitions for what leadership reports on, such as a client, a household or a relationship. We document where processes genuinely differ, often for state-specific forms or licensing, and where they differ only by habit. The habits get standardized. Sharing rules keep each office's data visible to the right people, and reporting rolls up across the state line without manual spreadsheets.
How long does a Jack Henry or Fiserv connection take?
It depends on what you want to see in Salesforce and how often. A nightly feed of accounts, balances and relationship data is the common starting point and fits inside a normal implementation. Near-real-time events, such as new account openings triggering onboarding tasks, take longer and need your core provider's cooperation on access. We've delivered Fiserv connections through MuleSoft and a Jack Henry core migration, so we know the usual sticking points. We set scope in discovery and request access early, since vendor paperwork often sets the pace.
