Salesforce and HubSpot for marketing teams

Marketing in a regulated firm answers to two audiences: the buyers you want to reach and the compliance team that reviews every word. We build the lead lifecycle, nurture programs, consent handling and attribution reporting that hold up with both, in HubSpot, Salesforce, Braze or a mix of them.

What we deliver for marketing leaders

Lead lifecycle and scoring

One definition of a marketing-qualified and sales-accepted lead, agreed with sales, plus scoring on fit and behavior and routing that puts each lead in front of the right advisor or rep.

CRM & Marketing Automation

Closed-loop attribution

Campaign and source data carried from the first form fill to closed-won revenue, including across Salesforce and HubSpot when you run both.

HubSpot + Salesforce integration

Compliant campaigns and nurture

Email and content programs with approval steps, disclosures and archiving built into the workflow, and consent tracked by channel and region.

Customer engagement with Braze

Lifecycle messaging across email, push, SMS and in-app for fintechs and digital-first firms, connected to the CRM so advisors and service teams see what each client received.

Braze · Braze packages

Marketing data and AI

Clean contact data, segments built on CRM fields, and AI for first drafts and campaign analysis, with a person reviewing anything a client will see.

AI-Driven Personalization & Analytics

Platform builds and moves

HubSpot Marketing Hub implementations and upgrades, Account Engagement (Pardot) builds, and moves between platforms with history and consent intact.

What we see in marketing teams

Marketing and sales report different numbers

Marketing counts leads, sales counts pipeline, and nobody can trace a closed deal back to the campaign that started it.

Compliance review happens in email threads

Approvals live in inboxes and shared drives, so campaigns ship late and the approval record is hard to produce when an examiner asks.

Leads go cold between teams

A form fill sits in a queue because routing rules don't match how advisors or reps cover territory.

The database works against you

Duplicates, missing consent and old records hurt deliverability and turn segmentation into guesswork.

There's an AI mandate and no clean data under it

Leadership wants AI-driven personalization, and the contact data can't support it yet.

What compliance needs from marketing

  • A record of who approved each piece of content and when, stored with the asset.
  • Consent and subscription status by channel, with the source of every opt-in.
  • Archiving of outbound email and social where your rules require it: SEC and FINRA for advisers and broker-dealers, TCPA for SMS, GDPR and UK GDPR for European contacts.
  • Disclosures added automatically by audience and product.
  • Review and retention rules for AI-drafted copy.

We build these into the platform so the evidence already exists when someone asks for it.

Recent work for marketing teams

Salesforce or HubSpot for marketing?

HubSpot Marketing Hub suits most mid-market firms where marketing wants to own and run the system. It launches quickly, marketers can work in it without an admin, and attribution comes built in when sales is on HubSpot too.

Salesforce, through Account Engagement or Marketing Cloud with Data Cloud for unified profiles, fits when advisors, bankers or service teams already work in Salesforce and marketing needs to act on those same records, or when data volumes and models are more complex.

Many of our clients run HubSpot for marketing and Salesforce for sales and service. The work then is the sync, lifecycle rules on both sides and one attribution model everyone accepts. Braze sits alongside either platform when you need real-time, cross-channel messaging to app users.

Marketing workflows that run in the CRM

Launching a campaign

A marketer builds the email and landing page from approved templates and submits them for review inside the platform. Compliance approves or comments there, and the approval record stays attached to the asset.

Handing off a lead

A prospect downloads a guide and passes the scoring threshold. The lead routes to the advisor or rep who covers their region, a task is created with a response deadline, and the manager is alerted if it isn't worked in time.

Monthly attribution review

Marketing and sales leaders open the same dashboard: pipeline and closed revenue by campaign and channel, built on source fields captured at the first touch.

Keeping the list clean

A weekly report flags duplicates, bounces and missing consent. Opt-outs sync between the email platform and the CRM so suppressions apply everywhere.

What marketing leaders should track

  • Sourced and influenced pipeline: opportunities tied to campaign responses, by channel and quarter.
  • Lead conversion and speed: marketing-qualified to sales-accepted conversion, and time to first touch.
  • Cost per opportunity by channel: spend measured against opportunities created, not form fills.
  • Compliance review cycle time: days from submission to approval.
  • Database health: share of contacts with valid consent, deliverability and duplicate rate.

Your first four steps

  1. Write one lead lifecycle with sales. Agree what makes a lead marketing-qualified and sales-accepted, who owns it at each stage and how fast it must be worked. Put it on one page before anyone configures anything.
  2. Fix the source fields. Every new contact and opportunity should carry its original source and campaign. Attribution reports can't recover data that was never captured.
  3. Move compliance review into the platform. Start with one content type, usually email, and run approvals through the system for a month.
  4. Clean the database once, then set rules. Merge duplicates, suppress bad addresses and add validation so the mess doesn't come back.

Marketing in your industry

  • Wealth management: advisor-branded nurture, event follow-up and review under the SEC marketing rule.
  • Asset management: institutional and intermediary campaigns, with prospect data from Dakota Marketplace or FINTRX in the CRM.
  • Mortgage and lending: pre-approval and rate-alert nurture with TCPA consent on every text.
  • Fintech: lifecycle messaging in Braze driven by CRM and product data.

Marketing: questions

Can you connect HubSpot marketing to Salesforce sales?

Yes, it's one of our most common setups. We configure the sync, field mapping and lifecycle rules on both sides, and build attribution so marketing sees revenue that closes in Salesforce. For an institutional digital asset manager, that work traced 100% of closed-won Salesforce revenue back to the HubSpot campaign that sourced it.

How do you handle compliance review of marketing content?

We build approval steps into HubSpot or Salesforce so content can't go out without sign-off, keep the approval record with the asset, and connect your email and social archiving tool. Your compliance team sets the rules and the system enforces them.

Should we use HubSpot Marketing Hub or Salesforce Account Engagement?

If sales and service run on Salesforce and you need marketing to act on that data directly, Account Engagement or Marketing Cloud usually fits better. If marketing wants to own the platform and move fast, HubSpot usually wins. We're partners on both and will tell you which fits after a short review of your setup.

How long does a marketing implementation take?

Most HubSpot marketing implementations take 4 to 10 weeks, with fixed-fee packages from $7,500. Salesforce marketing builds usually take 8 to 16 weeks, depending on data and integrations.

Can AI write our marketing content?

It can draft copy, summarize campaign results and suggest segments. In regulated firms we set it up so a person reviews every client-facing piece and the review is recorded. We work with Claude, ChatGPT and HubSpot Breeze.
