Palmata Implementation for AI Answer Visibility
Vantage Point implements Palmata, the answer engine optimization (AEO) platform that shows how AI answer engines represent your company. We set up the research for your audiences and competitors, turn Palmata's recommendations into content and website changes, and connect the results to HubSpot and Salesforce so you can see which AI visibility gains turn into pipeline. Every engagement is run by senior consultants. No junior handoffs.
Palmata & AEO Services
What Palmata implementation from Vantage Point includes
Buyers now ask AI answer engines before they visit your website. We use Palmata to find out what those engines say about you, and then improve it.
Palmata Setup & Steering
Configure Palmata's research for your audiences, services, regions, and competitors, so the findings reflect the questions your buyers actually ask.
AI Visibility Baseline
Use Palmata's discovery and deep research to document how answer engines describe your firm today, where they are wrong, and who they recommend instead.
Simulated Impact & Priorities
Use Palmata's simulated impact to test content changes before you make them, and do the work most likely to change AI answers first.
How Palmata Works
What a Palmata report shows you
Palmata is the AEO platform Contentful launched in June 2026, now offered as Palmata from Salesforce. Each report audits one brand. Palmata researches your market first, then asks answer engines the questions your buyers would type, and records the answer, the sources behind it, and every competitor named. We also implement Contentful, the content platform Palmata came from.
Three measures instead of one score
- Mentioned: how often the answer names your firm at all.
- Cited as Source: how often one of your own pages is used as evidence, and how often a page was read but left out.
- AI Perception: whether the answer helps or hurts your case when you are named.
Each buyer question points to one kind of work
- In Sources And Answer: defend the page so a competitor can't take the spot.
- In Answer, Not In Sources: publish the page the engine should have used.
- In Sources, Weak In Answer: restructure a page the engine read and skipped. This is usually the fastest win.
- Not In Sources Or Answer: build new content for that question.
Actions are tested before they go live
Every recommended action is replayed against the audit's buyer questions and comes with a predicted lift. Actions are grouped as Update Existing Content, Create New Content, Counter Narratives, Influence Third Party and Leverage Recency. We edit the proposed change in Palmata's simulation workspace, score our version, and then take it through your compliance review and onto the site.
Reruns show what moved
Each rerun becomes a new version of the same report. Two versions give a side-by-side comparison, and three or more show trends in mentions, citations and perception by topic, question and source. We usually rerun monthly, or right after a major content release.
How We Work
From AI answers to measurable pipeline
Every Palmata engagement follows the same senior-led path, scoped to where you are today:
- Assess: review how AI answer engines describe you and your competitors today
- Architect: set Palmata research priorities, audiences, and tracking
- Build: make the content, website, and structured data changes
- Launch: publish updates and connect AI-referred traffic to your CRM
- Optimize: re-run the research, measure what changed, and repeat
Measurable Results
Reporting tied to pipeline, not just mentions
We baseline before we start, then report on how often answer engines mention you, how accurately they describe you, which competitors they recommend, and the AI-referred leads and pipeline in your CRM.
We ran it on ourselves first. Our October 2, 2026 Palmata baseline for vantagepoint.io covered 450 buyer questions across 15 topics. We showed up in 27% of evaluation-stage answers but only about 1% of discovery-stage answers. We published the four highest-ranked content fixes two days later, and the rerun will show what moved. FAQ
Palmata: frequently asked questions
What is answer engine optimization (AEO)?
AEO is the work of improving how AI answer engines, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, describe and recommend your company. It overlaps with SEO, but focuses on the answers AI tools give rather than on search rankings alone.
What does Palmata do?
Palmata is an AEO platform. It researches how AI answer engines represent your company, explains the factors behind those answers, recommends which content changes matter most, and simulates their likely impact before you make them. It also offers an MCP server so its findings can be used inside AI-assisted content tools.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO aims to rank pages in search results. AEO aims to make AI tools describe you accurately and recommend you when buyers ask questions. Much of the same work helps both: clear pages, accurate facts, structured data, and trusted third-party mentions.
Why does AEO matter for regulated firms?
When an answer engine misstates your services, fees, or credentials, it can mislead prospects and raise compliance concerns. Correcting what AI tools say about you is part of managing your public communications. We send content changes through your normal compliance review.
How quickly do AI answers change?
Answer engines update on different schedules, so changes show up at different speeds. We set a baseline first and re-measure on a regular cadence so you can see what moved.
Why choose Vantage Point for Palmata and AEO?
