SI and AI · What Super Intelligence means for your CRM
Super Intelligence (SI) and AI for Salesforce, HubSpot and Claude teams
Since September 29, 2026, the US federal government calls artificial intelligence (AI) Super Intelligence (SI). The legal scope stayed the same, our partners' products work the same way, and regulated firms need the same controls. We deploy SI and AI in Salesforce, HubSpot and Claude with the controls a bank would require.
Short answer
Super Intelligence (SI) is the term the US federal government has used for artificial intelligence (AI) since Executive Order 14434, signed September 29, 2026. The order tells federal agencies to say SI instead of AI. It covers the same technologies as the legal definition of AI and puts no new obligations on private companies. Vantage Point uses both terms: SI and AI.
What changed on September 29, 2026
Executive Order 14434, "Inaugurating The Era Of Super Intelligence," directs executive departments and agencies to use "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in place of "Artificial Intelligence" and "AI" in official correspondence, public communications, websites, reports and policy documents.
| Question | What the order says |
|---|---|
| Who has to use SI | Federal executive departments and agencies |
| Private companies | No requirement. Companies choose their own terms. |
| What SI covers | The same technologies the US Code already defines as artificial intelligence (15 U.S.C. 9401(3)), until a later order or Congress changes it |
| Existing regulations, contracts and grants | Nothing has to be rewritten |
| What comes next | Proposed legislation on the legal definition is due to the President within 60 days, around November 28, 2026 |
What didn't change
The technology is the same, and the order doesn't change any regulation. The rules your firm already follows for AI, from communications review to recordkeeping, apply to SI the same way. The supervision, approval and audit controls we build stay as they are. See SI and AI compliance and supervision controls.
Anthropic and OpenAI, whose models we deploy, signed the White House's voluntary safety accord the same day. As of October 13, 2026, Anthropic, OpenAI and HubSpot still describe their products as AI. Salesforce is the first of our partners to rename a product.
SIforce (formerly AIforce)
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced on October 9, 2026 that AIforce is now SIforce. It's the layer that brings Salesforce data and agents into the tools people already work in. It started as Headless 360, announced in April 2026, and Salesforce renamed it AIforce in September. On October 13, salesforce.com still showed the AIforce name, so we write "SIforce (formerly AIforce)" and both names lead to the same work: Claude in Salesforce, Claude + CRM integration (MCP) and Agentforce.
Why we use both SI and AI
We lead with SI because the federal government now uses it, and buyers who work with federal agencies will see it in every document. We keep AI because most vendors and many of our clients still use it, and the two words describe the same technology.
One more note for Salesforce buyers: in the partner world, SI has long meant systems integrator. On our site, SI means Super Intelligence, and we spell out systems integrator when we mean one.

Questions we get
What is Super Intelligence (SI)?
Super Intelligence (SI) is the term the US federal government has used for artificial intelligence (AI) since Executive Order 14434 (September 29, 2026). For now it covers exactly the technologies the US Code defines as AI.
Is SI the same as AI?
Yes, in scope. The order defines SI as the technologies already covered by the legal definition of AI, so the name changed and the technology didn't. A new definition would need a later order or an act of Congress.
Does the order apply to private companies?
No. It applies to federal executive departments and agencies. Companies that write to or work with those agencies will see SI in agency documents and correspondence.
Does SI change our compliance obligations?
No. The order doesn't change any regulation, contract or grant. The rules your firm follows for AI today apply unchanged, and we map controls to those rules.
What is SIforce?
SIforce is the name Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff announced on October 9, 2026 for AIforce, which started as Headless 360. It brings Salesforce data and agents into the tools people already work in.
Why does Vantage Point say SI and AI?
Both words describe the same technology. SI is the federal term and AI is the term most vendors and buyers still use, so we use both and lead with SI.
