What Salesforce's acquisitions mean for your stack

Salesforce has bought or agreed to buy eight companies since late 2025, from Informatica to Fin to Loops. This page lists each deal, where it stands today and what it changes for wealth managers, banks, insurers and other regulated firms.

Short answer

Seven of the eight deals have closed: Informatica, Momentum, Cimulate, Qualified, m3ter, Contentful and Fin. Only Loops is announced and not yet closed. Nothing here forces a migration. Each product keeps working as it does today while Salesforce folds it into Agentforce, Data 360, Tableau or its revenue products. The useful question for your firm is which of these tools you already run and whether it belongs in your plan for the next 12 months.

What the deals have in common

Almost every deal adds an AI agent or the data that feeds one. Fin and Qualified put agents in front of customers. Momentum and Loops turn conversations and analytics into inputs for agents. Informatica and m3ter clean and meter the data underneath. For a regulated firm, that raises the same question each time: which data does the agent see, who approved it, and where is the record of what it said.

Agentforce is the layer that ties these together. Salesforce's product names have also shifted during this period, so read our Salesforce services overview for the names we use today.

What to do about it

  1. List what you already run. Check whether you use Intercom or Fin, Contentful, Momentum, Informatica or a Salesforce Marketing product with website chat.
  2. Do not migrate for the sake of it. Each product keeps working. Change tools when a business case supports it.
  3. Ask for the roadmap in writing. Pricing and packaging often change after a close. Ask your account team what changes at renewal.
  4. Run a data and consent review first. Agents from any of these tools depend on clean records and clear consent. Our Agentforce work starts there.

Questions buyers ask us

Do I have to move off Fin, Contentful or Informatica now that Salesforce owns them?

No. Salesforce has kept each product's name and customers can continue as they are. The decisions that matter come at renewal, when pricing, bundling and support terms can change. Ask for them in writing before you sign.

Which of these deals has not closed yet?

Only Loops. Salesforce announced it on October 12, 2026 and expects it to close in early November. Until it closes, Loops runs independently. Contentful, the last deal before it, closed on September 1, 2026.

Does Fin only work with Salesforce?

No. Fin works with help desks beyond Salesforce, including Intercom, HubSpot and Freshdesk. Our Fin page covers setup with Salesforce Service Cloud and with HubSpot.

How do these deals affect a regulated firm?

They add more agents and more data flowing between tools. Your compliance team still decides what an agent may say, what is recorded and how long records are kept. We configure those controls and your compliance team approves them.

Where can I see Salesforce's own announcements?

Salesforce publishes each deal on its news site. We link to them from our blog posts and update this page when a status changes.
