Salesforce to HubSpot migration

Vantage Point moves firms from Salesforce to HubSpot with a signed-off field map, a trial load and a reconciliation report. Our Hub packages then set up the workflows and dashboards your team relies on. The same senior team handles Pardot (Account Engagement) to Marketing Hub and Zendesk to Service Hub.

Short answer

The Salesforce to HubSpot Migration package moves contacts, companies, deals, tickets, activities and notes, up to 100,000 records, with owner and pipeline mapping, one trial load and a reconciliation report. The data migration typically runs 3 to 6 weeks. It's quoted after a short scoping call, and you get a written fixed price before work starts. HubSpot setup is priced separately through our published Hub packages.

Three moves onto HubSpot

Salesforce to HubSpot Smart CRM

From Sales Cloud or Service Cloud to HubSpot with Sales Hub, Service Hub or both. Accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, cases, activities and notes move. The data migration typically runs 3 to 6 weeks, and the price is quoted after a scoping call. See the package scope.

Pardot to Marketing Hub

Account Engagement replaced by HubSpot Marketing Hub, with Salesforce kept as the CRM. Prospects and opt-outs move, core assets and 2 programs are rebuilt, and the Salesforce connector is set up. $9,500 fixed for up to 3 marketers and 25,000 prospects, in 5 to 6 weeks. See the Account Engagement to Marketing Hub Switch.

Zendesk to Service Hub

Tickets with comments and attachments, users and organizations, help center articles and macros move to HubSpot Service Hub. Service Hub setup is Foundation, $7,500 or Growth, $14,500. The ticket migration is quoted after a scoping call. See the Zendesk to HubSpot guide.

Two moves at once

Some firms make two of these moves together, for example Salesforce and Pardot. We plan them as one project with one cutover date, so your team learns HubSpot once.

When the move makes sense, and when it doesn't

Firms usually leave Salesforce for HubSpot because they're paying for complexity they don't use, admin work depends on one person or an outside partner, and marketing and sales want to work on one platform.

Stay on Salesforce, or talk to us before deciding, if:

  • You rely on Financial Services Cloud households, financial accounts or relationship groups that advisors use every day.
  • Large parts of the org run on Apex code or managed packages with no HubSpot equivalent.
  • You'd need more custom objects than your HubSpot edition supports. Custom objects need HubSpot Enterprise.
  • Your custodian, loan origination or core banking integration only exists for Salesforce.

If the answer isn't clear, the free assessment covers it. We implement both platforms, so we've no reason to push you either way.

What the Salesforce to HubSpot package includes

Included

  • Object and property mapping in a field-by-field document signed off by your business owners
  • Migration of contacts, companies, deals, tickets, activities and notes, up to 100,000 records
  • Owner and pipeline mapping
  • One trial load, then the production load
  • A reconciliation report comparing counts in both systems
  • The standard on every Vantage Point package: a named senior consultant from kickoff to go-live, a kickoff workshop, a written project plan, weekly status, one supported user acceptance testing cycle, admin documentation and 30 days of hypercare

Not included

  • More than 2 custom objects
  • Rebuilding Apex logic
  • HubSpot configuration, which is sold as Hub packages
  • Data cleansing beyond the rules agreed in the mapping document
  • Software licenses for either platform

Most firms pair the migration with the Hub packages that set HubSpot up for how they work:

How we run the migration

  1. Discovery and data inventory. What exists, what's clean and what's worth moving. You decide which flows, reports and integrations HubSpot needs.
  2. Target design. Objects, pipelines, lifecycle stages, ownership and permissions in HubSpot.
  3. Mapping document. Field by field, signed off by the people who own the data.
  4. Cleanup before the move. Duplicates and dead records are dealt with in Salesforce first, so they don't arrive in HubSpot.
  5. Trial load and reconciliation. A test load into HubSpot, with a report that compares counts and spot checks real records.
  6. User acceptance testing. Your team works real scenarios in HubSpot before cutover.
  7. Cutover. A final load of records changed since the trial, integrations switched over, and Salesforce set to read-only.
  8. Hypercare. 30 days of fixes for defects in what we delivered, plus adoption support.

Running both systems during the transition

You don't have to switch everything on one weekend. The HubSpot and Salesforce connector can keep records in sync during a phased move, for example marketing first and sales a month later. Pardot can stay live until you switch it off, which matters when your Account Engagement contract still has months to run.

What compliance needs from a move to HubSpot

  • Every opt-out and unsubscribe in HubSpot before the first email is sent.
  • Outbound email still reaching your archiving provider, which means connecting HubSpot to it.
  • Salesforce history kept in a read-only archive for as long as your retention rules require.
  • Approval steps and disclosures rebuilt in HubSpot, so each review is recorded with the asset it approved.

We configure these controls; your compliance team approves them.

Salesforce to HubSpot migration: questions

How long does a Salesforce to HubSpot migration take?

The data migration typically runs 3 to 6 weeks. The range depends on record volume, how many custom objects need to move, and whether marketing moves at the same time. HubSpot setup runs alongside it through the Hub packages, and a Pardot to Marketing Hub switch on its own runs 5 to 6 weeks with our fixed package.

How much does it cost to migrate from Salesforce to HubSpot?

The migration itself is quoted after a scoping call, because the effort depends on your data, and you get a written fixed price before work starts. HubSpot setup is priced separately through published Hub packages, from $7,500 per hub for Foundation and $14,500 to $16,500 for Growth. HubSpot licenses are bought from HubSpot and aren't included.

Can HubSpot handle our Salesforce custom objects?

Yes, with HubSpot Enterprise, which supports custom objects, associations and permissions. The base package excludes more than 2 custom objects, so larger custom object work is quoted separately.

Do we lose our history when we leave Salesforce?

Activities and notes move with their records. Anything you don't move stays in a read-only Salesforce archive, so it's still available for audits and retention requirements.

Can we move from Pardot to HubSpot and keep Salesforce as our CRM?

Yes. That's the Account Engagement to Marketing Hub Switch, $9,500 fixed for up to 3 marketers and 25,000 prospects. HubSpot connects to Salesforce through its native connector and replaces the Pardot connector.

Does Zendesk ticket history move to HubSpot Service Hub?

Yes, including comments and, where needed, attachments. Help center articles move to the HubSpot knowledge base, and we set up redirects so existing customer links keep working.

Should we fix Salesforce instead of leaving it?

Sometimes that's cheaper. If your org is stalled rather than wrong for you, start with our implementation rescue or a Salesforce Org Assessment ($5,000).

Prices are in US dollars; EU and UK pricing is on request. Software licenses are bought from the vendor. Updated October 6, 2026.
