Salesforce Financial Services Cloud for UK wealth managers
For FCA-regulated wealth managers, discretionary managers and financial planning firms that need one client record their advisers will use and their compliance team can review.
Short answer
Vantage Point implements Salesforce Financial Services Cloud for UK wealth managers. We set up households, client records and adviser workflows so Consumer Duty, SM&CR and SYSC 10A evidence lives in one place, connect your other systems, and deliver with senior consultants from Dallas and Sofia. Foundation starts from €19,000.
What we build for UK wealth managers
| Need | What we build in Financial Services Cloud |
|---|---|
| Consumer Duty evidence | Structured records of suitability and review conversations, complaints and follow-ups, with reports by adviser and client segment |
| Vulnerable customers | A restricted vulnerability record with characteristics and agreed adjustments, visible only to the roles that need it |
| SM&CR accountability | A named owner on every client record and process, access set by role, and field history on the fields that matter |
| Records of conversations | Where SYSC 10A applies, meeting records that capture date, time, location, attendees and who initiated the meeting, linked to the client. Call and message recordings stay in your archive, such as Smarsh or Global Relay |
| Households and relationships | Households, family groups, trusts, introducers and professional connections such as accountants and solicitors |
| Onboarding and annual reviews | Action plans for onboarding, annual suitability reviews and client events, so nothing depends on one adviser's memory |
Regulation shapes the data model
The FCA's Consumer Duty applied to open products from 31 July 2023 and to closed products from 31 July 2024. It sets four outcomes: products and services, price and value, consumer understanding and consumer support. Firms have to monitor those outcomes and report on them to their board each year, so the CRM has to hold consistent, reportable records rather than notes scattered across inboxes.
We agree with your compliance team what has to be recorded and keep the number of required fields small, because advisers skip forms that ask for too much. SM&CR adds named accountability, which is why record ownership and role-based access go into the first design. For MiFID business, SYSC 10A requires a durable record of relevant face-to-face conversations with clients, so meeting records get the fields the rule lists.
UK data residency and UK GDPR
Where your data sits depends on your Salesforce edition and contract. Salesforce offers its Hyperforce infrastructure in the UK and made Data Cloud on Hyperforce available there from 31 July 2024. We ask your Salesforce account team to confirm the region for each product you license and review it with your data protection officer early. Integrations get the same review, since a well-hosted CRM can still send data somewhere it should not through a badly configured connector. Final hosting decisions sit with you and Salesforce.
Systems we connect
Financial Services Cloud is most useful when advisers stop switching screens. We connect portfolio and platform data, financial planning tools, communication archives, document storage and e-signature through APIs or middleware such as MuleSoft, with a clear rule for which system owns each record. Firms with client data across several platforms can unify it in Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) before reporting or AI work. Salesforce's own pre-built agents for wealth management handle meeting prep, call transcription and CRM updates, and we set them up only after the data underneath is clean.
How an engagement runs
Senior consultants run every phase: discovery, design, build, testing and training, then go-live support. Our Sofia practice is two hours ahead of the UK, so most of the working day overlaps, and Dallas covers the afternoon. Data handling is agreed with your compliance team and data protection officer at kickoff.

Questions we get
Do you work with FCA-regulated wealth managers?
Yes. We implement Financial Services Cloud for UK firms remotely, from our Dallas headquarters and our practice in Sofia, which is two hours ahead of the UK. Your compliance officer and data protection officer agree what gets recorded and how data moves before we build anything.
Can Salesforce help us evidence Consumer Duty outcomes?
It can hold the evidence, but it will not define your outcomes for you. We work with your compliance team to decide what to record, such as suitability and review conversations, vulnerability indicators, complaints and follow-ups. Financial Services Cloud then captures them consistently, with reports that show coverage by adviser or client segment.
How should we record vulnerable customer information?
Keep it short, structured and restricted. We set up a vulnerability record with the characteristics you have identified and the adjustments you agreed with the client, visible only to the roles that need it. Free-text notes are kept to a minimum so the data stays proportionate under UK GDPR.
Where is our Salesforce data hosted?
Hosting depends on your Salesforce edition and contract. Salesforce offers Hyperforce in the UK, and we ask your Salesforce account team to confirm the region for each product you license. We then document data flows, retention rules and access controls so your UK GDPR records match how the system works.
How much does a Financial Services Cloud implementation cost for a UK firm?
Our Foundation package starts from €19,000 for up to 35 advisers and runs 4 to 6 weeks. Growth, for 35 to 100 users, runs 8 to 12 weeks, with UK and EU pricing on request. Enterprise is quoted after a scoping call. Salesforce licences are separate and are bought from Salesforce.
We already run Financial Services Cloud. Can you fix or extend it?
Yes. Our Salesforce Org Assessment, priced at $5,000, reviews your current org and gives you a prioritised plan. If you are still on the FSC managed package, we also move firms to the core data model.
