Short answer
A MuleSoft integration connects Salesforce, and through it HubSpot and other systems, to custodians, core banking, ERP, data warehouses and internal applications using reusable, monitored APIs. It suits firms with many systems, high volumes or strict security and audit requirements.
How the MuleSoft integration works
MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform lets firms build integrations as layered APIs (system, process and experience APIs) instead of one-off point-to-point connections. Once a system API exists for a core banking platform or a custodian feed, every later project can reuse it. Integrations run on MuleSoft's managed runtime (CloudHub) or on customer-managed infrastructure, with logging, alerting and access policies in one place.
Vantage Point uses MuleSoft for core banking, ERP, custodian and legacy-system integrations, high-volume data migrations, and CloudHub 1.0 to 2.0 upgrades.

Frequently asked questions
When is MuleSoft worth it instead of a native connector?
When you have several systems to connect, need reusable APIs, move high volumes or need centralized monitoring and security. One or two standard connections are usually cheaper with native connectors.
Can MuleSoft connect HubSpot too?
Yes. MuleSoft can call HubSpot's APIs, although most HubSpot-only projects use native apps or a lighter integration platform.
