Box integration

Box SalesforceHubSpot

Short answer

A Box integration links secure document folders to Salesforce or HubSpot records, so client documents stay in Box with its permissions and retention while users reach them from the CRM.

How the Box integration works

Box for Salesforce and Box for HubSpot create or link folders per account, client or deal and show them inside the record. Keeping documents in Box avoids CRM file-storage costs and keeps existing governance, retention and e-discovery controls in place. Vantage Point has also migrated document libraries between Box and other storage platforms.

What syncs

  • Folders linked to accounts, households or deals
  • File uploads and previews from the CRM
  • Permissions inherited from Box

Frequently asked questions

Should client documents live in Box or Salesforce?

For large volumes or strict retention rules, keeping them in Box and linking them is usually better and cheaper.

Can folders be created automatically?

Yes. A folder can be created from a template when an account or deal is created.
