Short answer
AgentExchange is Salesforce's marketplace for partner-built apps, agents, components and consulting services, evolved from the AppExchange. Salesforce customers use it to find and install pre-built solutions that extend their org instead of building everything from scratch.
AgentExchange (formerly AppExchange) explained
Listings on the marketplace go through Salesforce's security review before they can be sold to customers. They range from full managed-package applications to Lightning components, Agentforce agent templates, actions and prompt templates, plus listings for consulting partners.
Installing a package adds its objects, components and permissions to your org, so it is worth checking licensing, data access and maintenance before you install.
How Vantage Point helps: Vantage Point publishes its own listings, including RecordIQ, Field Set, Dynamic Forms and Advanced Data Table, and we help clients evaluate third-party packages.
Frequently asked questions
Is AppExchange gone?
No. Salesforce has rebranded and extended the marketplace as AgentExchange to include agents and agent components, and existing AppExchange listings are still available.
Are AgentExchange apps security reviewed?
Paid and free apps listed for customers must pass Salesforce's security review, but you should still review the permissions and data access each package needs.
