HubSpot Seat Types

Also known as: Core seat, Sales seat

Short answer

HubSpot licenses users through seat types. Core seats give access to the paid features of your hubs; Sales and Service seats add sales or service tools such as sequences, forecasting and help desk; and View-Only seats are free for people who only need to look at records and reports.

HubSpot Seat Types explained

HubSpot moved to seat-based pricing so firms pay for the users who need paid features, rather than every login. Choosing seats carefully is one of the biggest levers on HubSpot cost: a team member who only reviews dashboards does not need a Sales seat, but someone sending sequences does.

Seat requirements vary by feature and edition, so map each role to the features it actually uses before buying.

How Vantage Point helps: we map your roles to seat types and features so you buy the seats you need and nothing more.
