Short answer
CloudHub 2.0 is MuleSoft's fully managed, containerized runtime for deploying Mule applications and APIs. It replaces CloudHub 1.0 with a Kubernetes-based architecture that offers private spaces, better isolation and scaling, and it is where MuleSoft is focusing its cloud hosting.
CloudHub 2.0 explained
CloudHub 2.0 runs Mule applications as replicas in shared or private spaces, with built-in load balancing, ingress control and horizontal scaling. Private spaces give dedicated network isolation and connectivity to your own networks through VPN or transit gateway options.
Moving from CloudHub 1.0 is usually more than a lift-and-shift: networking, DNS, logging, properties and deployment pipelines all need to be reviewed and tested.
How Vantage Point helps: we run fixed-scope CloudHub 1.0 to 2.0 migrations, including network design, CI/CD updates and cutover planning.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to migrate from CloudHub 1.0?
MuleSoft is directing customers to CloudHub 2.0, so it is worth planning a migration. Check your MuleSoft account team for the dates that apply to your contract.
Does CloudHub 2.0 require code changes?
Often only minor ones, but networking, logging and deployment configuration typically change, so every application should be tested.
