User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Short answer

User acceptance testing (UAT) is the stage of a CRM project where the people who will use the system test it with realistic scenarios and confirm it does what the business needs before go-live. It is usually run in a full sandbox or staging environment.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) explained

During UAT, users follow test scripts based on their real work, such as onboarding a client or handling a service request, and log any issues. The project team fixes defects and users retest. Sign-off from business owners confirms the system is ready to deploy.

UAT is different from the technical testing consultants do earlier; its purpose is to confirm the system fits how people actually work.

How Vantage Point helps: we write UAT scripts with your team, support testers, track defects and manage sign-off.
