Short answer
Data 360 is Salesforce's data platform, renamed from Data Cloud in 2025. It ingests data from Salesforce and outside systems, resolves it into unified customer profiles, and makes that data available in real time for segmentation, analytics, automation and Agentforce, often without copying it out of your data warehouse.
Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) explained
Data 360 connects to sources such as data warehouses, core banking or custodian systems, web and mobile events, and marketing platforms. It maps incoming data to a common model, runs identity resolution to match records that belong to the same person or household, and calculates insights such as lifetime value or engagement scores.
Zero-copy integrations with platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and Google BigQuery let Data 360 query data where it already lives. Unified profiles and segments can then be activated in Marketing Cloud, used in Flows, or grounded in Agentforce prompts.
How Vantage Point helps: we design Data 360 implementations around a specific business outcome, map the sources and identity rules, and keep consumption costs predictable.
Frequently asked questions
Is Data 360 the same as Data Cloud?
Yes. Salesforce renamed Data Cloud to Data 360 in 2025 as part of its Agentforce 360 branding. Existing Data Cloud customers did not need to migrate.
Do I need Data 360 if all my data is already in Salesforce?
Often not. Data 360 earns its cost when you need to combine Salesforce data with other systems, resolve identities across them, or act on high-volume event data in real time.
