Austin joined Bailard in 2016. As an Investment Counselor for Bailard’s wealth management clients, Austin is responsible for managing client relationships, implementing investment strategies, client financial planning needs, and new business development. Prior to his current role, Austin served as Portfolio Associate and Financial Planner. Growing up, Austin was fascinated with generational wealth transfer, after witnessing his grandfather start a successful corporation and pass away unexpectedly, leaving his mother and uncle with a business they weren’t involved in. The trusted advisors that helped his family navigate through that difficult situation ultimately became an extension of his family. This experience led him to pursue a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance with a minor in Non-Profit Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego; connecting his knack for investments with his understanding of interpersonal relationships. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and an Enrolled Agent, helping clients navigate a variety of financial situations. After studying abroad in college through Semester at Sea, Austin gained a passion for traveling and giving back. He currently sits on the Semester at Sea Board of Trustees, working with alumni to increase engagement. Away from work, you’ll find Austin either on the golf course, on the ocean fishing, or on a plane traveling somewhere new.
